Originally from Nebraska, Dr. Frey earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University before completing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. During his training, he developed a strong foundation in contact lenses, pre- and post-operative surgical care, the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, and comprehensive eye care. He was also recognized with several academic honors throughout his education.
Today, Dr. Frey is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the Texas Board of Optometry and is a certified optometric glaucoma specialist.
Life Outside the Office
Dr. Frey has called the Grand Prairie and Mansfield area home since 1999. He and his wife, Maggie, have been married since 2001 and enjoy spending time with their two daughters and their ever-changing collection of pets. Outside the office, he enjoys riding motorcycles, following sports, listening to music, investing, and staying physically active.
Giving back to the community is also important to Dr. Frey. He has volunteered with Lions Club Low Vision Clinics and participated in community clean-up events, reflecting the same commitment to serving others that he brings to his patients every day.
