Originally from Louisiana, Dr. Smith earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana Tech University before completing his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Today, he serves as the Director of Optometric Services at Advanced Vision Care.
Dr. Smith has extensive experience fitting bifocal and specialty contact lenses, particularly for patients with astigmatism. As a licensed therapeutic optometrist in Texas, he also provides comprehensive eye care focused on protecting and maintaining long-term eye health. He is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association, reflecting his commitment to staying current with advancements in patient care.
Life Outside the Office
When he's not caring for patients, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife, Wendy, their three children, and their two grandsons. He and his family call Arlington home, where they stay busy cheering on their favorite sports teams, traveling together, and supporting their daughter's club volleyball team.
