Dr. Bonita (Bonnie) Banh earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating with honors from the University of Georgia, before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During optometry school, she received the Eschenbach Award for excellence in low vision and ocular disease and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
She provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, with clinical interests that include myopia management, dry eye treatment, and ocular disease management. Dr. Banh works closely with families to slow the progression of childhood myopia using evidence-based treatment options, including MiSight® 1 day contact lenses, Stellest® lenses, and low-dose atropine therapy.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Banh stays current with the latest advancements in optometry to ensure her patients benefit from modern, effective treatment options tailored to their individual needs.
Life Outside the Office
Originally from a small town in Georgia, Dr. Banh now lives in Midlothian with her husband and their two children. When she's not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and church community, volunteering at church events, traveling, and cheering on her favorite teams, especially the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
Building long-term relationships with patients and their families is one of the most rewarding parts of her career. She believes every patient deserves compassionate care, honest guidance, and the confidence that comes from understanding their vision and eye health.
